As a style editor for over 15 years, I've amassed quite a lot of wardrobe favorites from fashion collaborations — and I have to say they're among my most prized possessions. Many of them are limited-edition, so they become special, one-of-a-kind pieces that garner the most compliments and cannot simply be purchased anywhere.
They also represent the mind-melding of two incredible creatives to produce something truly unique and inspired: think the Christopher John Rogers x Old Navy [1] polka-dot separates I still mix and match, or the Melissa x Telfar clear bag I bring to every concert. Both carry the best elements of each brand's work, memorialized in one (or several) coveted pieces.
Lastly, and for many shoppers, most importantly, these collaborations can make a runway designer's aesthetic more accessible, as is the case with Victoria Beckham x Gap, Elie Saab x H&M, and so many others. Fashion collaborations are a democratization tool unlike any other, offering the same brand ethos we love from luxury houses at an affordable price.
Whether you prefer high-end fashion collaborations with mass retailers, or a celebrity model teaming up with one of your favorite brands, we've compiled the best of the best here for you to shop and peruse. And many we've tested ourselves (before launch) and can speak to our favorite pieces.

Tips for Shopping Fashion Collaborations
- It's a game of speed. Pre-shop the collections by select your favorite items well before launch and researching reviews online and on social media to get a sense of fit.
- Decide how you'll shop and plan in advance: sign up on the website so your account information is locked and loaded and/or assess what stores are nearby and when they open if you're shopping in person.
- Don't fret if your chosen items sell out quickly as people return items just as fast. One time, I went to every Old Navy in New York City and North Jersey and got my desired Altuzarra piece [6] from a same-day return. Jackpot.

Elie Saab x H&M
Elie Saab has long been a red-carpet staple for celebrities like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. Just in time for your packed holiday party calendar, the Elie Saab x H&M collection brings high-octane glamour straight from the Hollywood circuit to your closet. The bow-detail train dress is a standout. The sequin gowns, peplum tops, and blazers will be in heavy rotation for all your soirees. Plus, there are more casual pieces like a funnel-collar leather jacket and embellished hoodie you can use for some cool contrast dressing (pair them with a slip dress for street-style-worthy styling). The accessories, like an east-west bag, a floral necklace, and lace gloves, are just as covetable. Pick up our favorite pieces below and on H&M [10] starting Oct. 29.

Gap x Victoria Beckham
Few brands are as chic and timeless as Victoria Beckham [15]'s. Her 37-piece collaboration with Gap [16] — her second link-up with the retailer — has everything you love from the eponymous line, including statement coats, structured separates, cozy knits, and crisp denim starting at $28. Not only are these wardrobe staples versatile enough to wear on repeat, but they'll also elevate your style and give you that air of refinement the brand embodies so effortlessly. Our editors are already big fans of the satin bomber jacket in a gorgeous vampy burgundy hue and the oversize parka in olive green. Plus, the unexpected zipped collar peeking out from the V-neck pullover is the perfect thoughtful detail.

Old Navy x Altuzarra
If you're anything like us, Old Navy's American designer series is blowing you away, from the vibrant Christopher John Rogers [20] collab to the whimsical linkup with Altuzarra [21]. In an interview with our shopping director and social host Sarah Wasilak [22], Joseph Altuzarra revealed the collection is inspired by his love of Gothic fiction and romance, which materialized in vintage floral prints, sparkling embellishment, cascading ruffles, and delicately-draped scarf necklines. The collection, which introduces matching pieces for women, girls, and toddlers, ranges in price from $25 to $140. Wasilak and senior style director Jessica Andrews immediately fell in love with the embellished barn jacket, which they styled with sharp separates and a matching slip dress respectively.
