Hailee Steinfeld and her stylist Jason Rembert [1] appropriately tapped British designer Richard Quinn for the London premiere of Hawkeye, the new Marvel TV show [2] that also stars Jeremy Renner. Hailee, who's known for trying out fashion-forward trends on the red carpet, slipped into a spring 2022 look [3] right off the runway, complete with the same fabric pants pulled over heels that was a prominent style move throughout the collection.
Her glittering, sequin-embellished floral bustier top could have passed as a minidress Steinfeld might have worn with a thigh-high boot on previous occasions, but in the name of dressing like a glamorous superhero, she took on white, regal gloves. Her jewels were triangle drop Chopard earrings on display thanks to her dazzling updo [4], and they played up the crystals on her outfit and her single pinky ring.
Gloves are a trend we expect to see more of [5] as we head into the holiday season, but Hailee's crisp white pair feel decidedly bridal. This comes as no surprise, since Richard recently expanded his expertise to the wedding-dress category. Maybe I'll swap a veil for bicep-length gloves like these on my own wedding day . . . I'm sure I'm not the only one who had that same passing thought upon seeing Hailee's arrival at this UK screening.
