Ever since the sultry swimsuit trend took off in 2022, many celebrities have proudly embraced thongkinis, including Kylie Jenner [3], Chloe Bailey [4], and Vanessa Hudgens [5]. Most recently, appeared in one of the boldest takes on the trend to date. On Saturday, May 27, she casually posed for Instagram [6] nearly nude, leaving little to the imagination in front of a glass balcony as she sat oceanside during a vacation with husband Tom Kaulitz. "Cap d'Antibes 🇫🇷❤️🌞🌹," she captioned her post, wearing nothing but a black thongkini bottom that highlighted her toned back and famous legs while she held a white rose.

The 50-year-old is no stranger to rocking body-baring silhouettes. As one of the original swimsuit connoisseurs, she famously graced the cover of Sports Illustrated's 1998 Swimsuit Issue, posing in a variety of revealing pieces, including the traditional bikini and a thongkini. She also made history as the first German model to become a Victoria's Secret Angel [7] (a role that's now retired [8]), appearing in many of the brand's swim campaigns, most notably the 2001 catalog, where she wore a black croc-print swimsuit with back cutouts.
