Complete with a high slit and pearl bodice, the look perfectly encapsulated the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" theme; even Lizzo [4]'s fingerless gloves sported Chanel's classic pearl detailing.
At last year's "Gilded Glamour [6]"-themed gala, the Grammy-winning artist stayed true to her sartorial risk-taking ways, sporting a black-and-gold embroidered cape [7] by Thom Browne, which took nearly 1,200 hours to create. In 2019, she also pushed boundaries in a custom pink, flamingo-esque Marc Jacobs dress [8] along with a hot-pink wig to match. Outside of the Met Gala, the fearless singer continues to make bold fashion choices, including at the 2023 Brit Awards, where she rocked a pink dress with a headboard [9] like only she can.
