A few months ago, after searching high and low for the perfect pair of black athleisure pants [1], I purchased what I believed was an amazing pair for a whopping $140. When I received them in the mail, I was shocked to find that the material was practically as thin as one-ply toilet paper and that the quality definitely did not match the exorbitant price. Although I loved the fit and the style, I began the search for a similar pair of pants [2] made with better-quality materials and at a much better price point. After a few extra weeks of searching, I stumbled upon one of the most fabulous pairs of pants I've ever owned: the Old Navy High-Waisted Stretch-Tech Wide-Leg Pants [3] ($40).
What I Like About the Old Navy High-Waisted Stretch-Tech Wide-Leg Pants
These pants are a bestseller on the Old Navy website, and I can completely see why. If I had to describe what I like about them in only one word, I'd say "everything." I love the fit and the fact that they're high-waisted. I also love that they have zippered pockets on each side because I know that if I want to keep a credit card or my ID loose in my pockets, everything will be secure. I love the fabric, which is not only comfortable and breathable, but it's also quick-drying and made with UV sun protection in mind. Although they're lightweight, they're substantial enough to keep me warm when going for my morning hot-girl walks [4] in 40-degree weather.
What's Worth Noting About the Old Navy High-Waisted Stretch-Tech Wide-Leg Pants
I'm 5'6 1/2", and before making my purchase, I was waffling between a small in a regular length or the tall length. After reading reviews, I opted to purchase a regular size small, but I think I could have gotten the tall version. The length I bought hits me below the ankles and doesn't look like a pair of floods by any means, but I prefer my pants to be on the longer side.
Because I love these pants so much, I do plan to purchase them in a few more colors, and I think I'll purchase them in the tall version so I can have them extra long.
Who Are the Old Navy High-Waisted Stretch-Tech Wide-Leg Pants Best For?
I think these Old Navy pants are perfect for anyone who wants to look stylish but put in minimal effort. I currently own these pants in black, and they've been super easy to style. I can wear them with sneakers and a puffer jacket for running errands, or I can wear them with fuzzy slippers and a T-shirt when working from home. They also look great with an oversize sweatshirt and my favorite Birkenstock clogs [5]. They're fashionable and in right now, but they're still extremely comfortable, which makes them a pair of pants I reach for constantly.
