H&M Launches a Collection With Indian Brand Sabyasachi — and It Sells Out Instantly

Update, Aug. 12, 2021: The Sabyasachi x H&M collection is now completely sold out online, although we assume it won't be long before pieces start popping up for resale across the internet. Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has been the subject of scrutiny leading up to the launch as some people feel the price tags are too high and the pieces are not up to par with the signature Sabyasachi brand of luxury. Nevertheless, you can watch this space for any sign of restock and jump ahead to get a full view of the range.

Original Post: Iconic Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee of fashion brand Sabyasachi has collaborated with high-street giant H&M on a collection titled Wanderlust. Wanderlust, available in India, the United Kingdom, and a few select H&M international stores, includes rich handcrafted textiles applied to Western and traditional Indian silhouettes.

"I am happy to announce the new date for the collaboration with H&M, as it gives us the opportunity to spread the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a wider audience in India and worldwide," the designer and brand CEO said in a press statement. "Due to the complexities of the Covid-19 situation, we had to put the collaboration on hold but I'm eagerly looking forward to launching this 'ready-to-wear' collection that will bring relaxed sophistication to everyday life in an understated yet glamorous style."

Sabyasachi and H&M's Wanderlust collection features a full wardrobe of womenswear, menswear, and accessories created by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation using Indian textile and print traditions. See the full lookbook ahead.
