Michael Kors [1] staged his spring/summer 2023 runway [2] show on Wednesday, Sept. 14, with plenty of celebrities sitting front row [3]. Vanessa Hudgens [4] in particular pulled out all the stops when it came to choosing her designer look: a charcoal-gray cashmere catsuit styled underneath a wool coat with the brand's signature Christie envelope bag [5] and pointed-toe pumps, all selected from the fall/winter 2022 collection.
Hudgens's halter design featured a plunging V neckline and open back, and her waist was cinched with a thick leather belt. Her jacket fell off her shoulders as she walked to put the details on full display. She finished with an array of earrings, including a spiky cross pendant and gold hoops, with her hair slicked back into a braid. The 33-year-old's lightweight makeup included a smoky eye and peach-tinted glow.
While Michael Kors always presents a sophisticated, well-tailored collection no matter the season, his latest offering is an ode to the 1970s [6], and Hudgens's catsuit fit in nicely. Along with similar plunging necklines, the lineup boasted fringe skirts, cutout dresses, and sequined evening wear.
Hudgens's gray jumper is a far cry from her recent Nylon Magazine cover shoot [7], for which she wore pink Miu Miu lingerie and latex, leaning into the Barbiecore trend [8] with retro undertones. Though her catsuit is an item considered trendy, also beloved by the likes of Kim and Khloé Kardashian [9] and Megan Thee Stallion [10], Hudgens took the more luxurious approach, opting for a fall-appropriate iteration in a cozy fabric that's reflective of elevated, monochromatic suiting.
Ahead, catch her outfit from every angle and see her pose in the front row with fellow attendees Nina Dobrev [11], Keke Palmer, and Alexandra Daddario.
