Choosing a gym can feel like a major decision, with price, equipment, amenities, and overall vibe all coming into play. Do you want more organized classes, like Orangetheory Fitness [1], F45 [2], or Club Pilates [3]? Or would you rather roam free and do your own workout in a bigger commercial gym? Depending on what you're looking for, 24 Hour Fitness [4] — a big box gym with nearly 300 locations in 11 states — might be the perfect fit for you.

As the name suggests, some 24 Hour Fitness locations are open for 24 hours seven days a week, which is a huge perk if you have a busy schedule, prefer to hit the gym late [5] at night, or would rather avoid the crowds [6]. On social media, members also show themselves taking fun workout classes like indoor cycling [7] and Zumba [8]. "I think this is my new favorite gym," one user wrote in a TikTok [9] of her workout at 24 Hour Fitness. The 24 Hour Fitness membership pricing is another major selling point.

However, given the many locations — and because specific pricing isn't readily available on the 24 Hour Fitness website — we decided to break down the average 24 Hour Fitness costs. Read on to see how much a 24 Hour Fitness membership costs, what you get from each membership, and what other costs may crop up. Plus, find out whether or not the membership is actually worth the price tag.

How Much Does 24 Hour Fitness Cost?

24 Hour Fitness membership pricing varies by location. The easiest way to find out the exact cost is to type your zip code into the "Find a Gym [10]" feature on the company's site, where you can select your nearest gym and see the exact pricing for that location. You also have the option to call, email, or chat with someone about pricing IRL. This is the best way to learn about any promotional offers, which run at certain points throughout the year.

24 Hour Fitness declined to provide PS with an exact range or average of its membership prices, However, per our research using the "Find a Gym" feature, 24 Hour Fitness membership costs range from $15 to $65 per month, typically with an additional annual fee of $25 to $50. If you opt to pay for a year upfront or make a 12-month commitment, your overall cost will be lower than if you pay month to month, according to the 24 Hour Fitness website.

24 Hour Fitness Monthly Memberships

Most 24 Hour Fitness locations have three different membership tiers [11]: Silver, Gold, and Platinum, all of which have different prices. The costs listed below reflect monthly membership prices. As a final note, not all membership options are offered at every location, so make sure to check with your local 24 Hour Fitness to see what's actually available to you.

24 Hour Fitness Annual Memberships

You can also save on certain 24 Hour Fitness memberships by paying in one annual sum. If you go this route, here's what to expect.

Additional Considerations

If you're considering signing up for a 24 Hour Fitness membership, be sure to ask about the annual fee, which may add $25 to $50 to your yearly membership expenses. Check out their special offers page [13], too — you might just snag a deal. Also keep in mind that, depending on the club, one-on-one personal training, group training, or specialty classes may be available for an additional fee. There are freebees to be aware of as well.

If you're still on the fence about 24 Hour Fitness, you can always try it out with a free three-day pass [14]. That way, you can get a sense of the gym's equipment, see how crowded it gets at peak times, and decide if it's worth the cost of a membership. Gold and platinum membership levels also include access to on-demand workouts through the brand's free 24GO app [15], which includes the ability to reserve for workout classes in advance.
