5-Minute Meditation Video

This 5-Minute Meditation Will Give You Energy to Get Through the Day

From weight loss to better sleep, the benefits of meditation are undeniable. Experts have said that just a few minutes of meditation a day can reduce stress levels, give you more energy and focus, and even decrease bloating by relaxing your digestive system.

One study in particular found that adults who meditated for just 10 days had an easier time being productive at work and were much less stressed in general. "Mindfulness intervention was effective in increasing daily levels of mindfulness during work, sleep quality, and sleep duration," the study found. There was also an increased "concentration and awareness."

If you've never tried it for yourself, there's no need to feel intimidated by meditation. It seems hard (and maybe even weird) at first, but with a little bit of practice, you can reap the benefits in no time.

The best part of meditation is that you don't have to spend hours a day to feel the effects. Simply carving out five minutes at a time is a great step toward more mindfulness and less anxiety. It's even better if you can meditate first thing in the morning. This sets you up to feel energized yet calm, and you'll be much less likely to take on whatever stress comes to you throughout the day.

Start today — and every other day — right with this five-minute session. You'll be ready to conquer anything that falls into your lap.
