The 5 Things 1 Woman Wishes She Knew Before Starting BBG

Jun 12 2017 - 3:38pm

BBG Week 1 - BBG Week 57 ***5 things I wish I could tell myself when I first started BBG. 1. Your body doesn't determine your beauty. 2. Be patient and kind to yourself. 3. Embrace the ups and downs but never quit. 4. This is going to be a lot harder than you imagined but it's sooooo worth it! 5. Make friends and get involved with the #bbgcommunity You guys this has been a year of transformation for me. Obviously I've made some pretty awesome physical changes to my body but none of that would have been possible if I didn't work on all the battles I had going on inside my head. I started BBG with the same goals Ive always had of getting skinny and looking good in a swimsuit:( I was your classic yoyo|crash dieter. I had terrible body image and my disordered eating habits were continually getting worse. Thankfully I realized that if I wanted lasting results, a healthy relationship with food, and learn to love myself I needed to do things differently. That meant working on myself on the inside without focusing on the outside. It was hard and felt for foreign to me but with daily intention it got easier. You can do it to! I believe in you! If your just starting your journey please take my advice to myself and be patient, be kind, and throw all your expectations out the window! . . . "In the end she became more than what she expected, she became the journey, and like the journey, she did not end, she simply changed directions and kept going." -R.M. Drake [1]

Kayla Itsines's BBG (Bikini Body Guide) Program [2] has been used by thousands of women to lose weight, get stronger, and transform their bodies, and this one-year before-and-after is no different! After 57 weeks, Lexie Woodmansee wishes she knew these five things before starting her BBG journey. If you're thinking about trying out this program, here's what you should know.

"5 things I wish I could tell myself when I first started BBG.

2. Be patient and kind to yourself.
3. Embrace the ups and downs but never quit.
4. This is going to be a lot harder than you imagined but it's sooooo worth it!
5. Make friends and get involved with the #bbgcommunity"

It's not just the amazing physical transformation Lexie experienced after 57 weeks on BBG, but after "working on myself on the inside without focusing on the outside," she was able to experience these results that fully transformed her lifestyle. If you're on a weight-loss journey, remember Lexie's advice to "be patient, be kind, and throw all your expectations out the window!"
