If I make it to 95, I would love to still be walking like a normal human. Charles Eugster, however, is still running just as well as any young person, and he just set a new world record for the indoor 200-meter dash for the over 95 years old category at a British Masters Athletic Federation meeting in London. Eugster covered the distance in just 55.48 seconds, which is a whole 2.4 seconds faster than the previous record.
The man, who started bodybuilding at age 87, says he hopes he will be an inspiration [1] to other elderly people. "The idea is I want to change the world, you see. I want to make old age something wonderful, stupendous, glorious, fantastic, superb, interesting, exciting. I want to make old age the best part of one's life," said Eugster.
The inspiring sprinter can teach us all a thing or two, and he's just one of many fit and fabulous senior citizens [2]!
