UNHEALTHY MINDSET vs. HEALTHY MINDSET πŸ€”βŽβœ… . I think we can all agree that there is NO right or wrong way to look. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some of my most STUNNING friends are totally not defined by the number that is in their labels.πŸ‘šπŸ‘–πŸ‘™ . . In my personal training session this morning, (and I'm sure my PT won't mind me pointing this outπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ..), he asked me how much I weighed, to give me a bit of a challenge on our squat sesh πŸ’ƒπŸΌ . And I declared ALL 60KG of me with as much gusto as I could muster!!! πŸ“―πŸ˜¬πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼 . However, if he'd had asked the person on the left how much they weighed, around 18 months ago, she probably would have sprinted away from the gym crying πŸ˜ŸπŸ˜ΆπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ . The point I'm making is don't presume that everyone is always 100% OK with their self image, or most importantly with their mental health & wellbeing πŸ™πŸΌ BUT also, numbers whether it be clothes size or KGs are irrelevant as long as you feel good!! β˜€οΈ . I am the BEST I've ever been in my head space, and that's why I feel comfortable sharing this on my page✨. . . But spread a little love & positivity on this hotttt weekend! πŸ’› Because you never know who's day you might literally brighten πŸ˜˜πŸ˜‰πŸ˜˜ . #wellbeing #comparison #mentalhealth #bodypositivity #sharethelove #happyfriday #sunshineandwaffles [1]

"My fitness motivation has never really been about numbers," British fitness blogger Maxine [2] said in an Instagram caption [3]. In this recent post, she shared the pain that came with hitting her lowest weight and how that time was fraught with anxiety. She had reached this point after she "came out of a difficult and mentally exhausting relationship [4]," at which point she said, "I ate very little food, my body was weak, I would work out at the gym for hours at a time with very little fuel. I got to such a low weight that my own mum refused to speak to me, as she would get so upset. I would sweat crazy amounts at night because my body was so hungry."

Today, she notes that she's happier than ever and at her healthiest weight yet. She's so comfortable with her current weight that she "declared [it] with as much gusto as I could muster" to her trainer, and now doesn't let the pounds (or kilograms, in this instance) define her β€” she assesses her health based on her happiness and mental health, which she finds through a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.

In one of her previous captions, she said, "Self-Worth to me is having that cake when I want it, having a few rest days in a row because I feel like it, plateauing on my weights for a few weeks because I'm not pushing myself hard enough, skipping out on cardio but it's hardio; basically not analyzing every move that I make." It just goes to show you how important it is to make mental health a priority and to not root your happiness or your self-worth in how much you weigh or the way your body looks.
