After an hour of practicing, I got up and started to make moves around the event, but I soon realized that my body was feeling a little off kilter. It's been years since I've left class before taking Savasana, but Sunday reminded me how integral it truly is. If you want to reap all the benefits from the hard work you've put into your practice — and not leave feeling anxious! — you've got to stick around to take rest.
