Continuing with lexophilla's point, you actually undermine your own point, which is a good thing, since muscle weighing more than fat is a fact, not a myth. What you want to do is weigh the same volume of both and compare the results.

So what you're saying is yes, muscle does weigh more than fat- same volume, different densities, therefore muscle has more mass. "A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat" is honestly a strange way to make your point, because, obviously, a pound is a pound.
