As the 36-year-old superstar prepares to go on her Piece of Me tour in July of this year, Britney Spears is getting real about how she's staying in shape and keeping her eating habits in check before the madness ensues. Sure, she's a Grammy winner and has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but just like us, Britney gets incredibly hangry!
"When I'm hungry, it's like 'Don't talk to me.' I am the devil. I am so moody. I'm a b*tch," she told People. "I want a hamburger and I want it now! I love food so much." Same, girl, same. That moodiness is just Britney being hangry, which we can relate to on so many levels.
But when it comes to sticking to a healthy diet and maintaining that balanced lifestyle, well, Britney understands the extremes. "It's tricky because sometimes my appetite is through the roof and I will just inhale a club sandwich or some fries," she explained. "Then sometimes I'm just very cold and I don't want to eat anything. It's really, really weird how back-and-forth I am."
We totally understand how difficult it can be to commit to a structured routine, especially when Britney has a busy schedule ahead of her, but when she's going to be traveling and performing for hours on end, it's important to keep healthy snacks handy — because no one wants a hangry Brit! Between protein bars, some fruit (with peanut butter!), or even a handful of popcorn, the snacking possibilities are endless.
Now, about those workouts. . . Britney's at-home workout routines have flooded our Instagram feeds over the last few months, and we can't get enough of them! She does handstands and ab workouts with a box, and sometimes her adorable boyfriend joins in, but Britney is setting the record straight about her exercise habits. "I don't work out that much to be totally honest with you," she told the publication. "I like to dance and I like yoga. I found a really good teacher. I think yoga is about finding the right teacher, so I can really get into that."
