Chardonnay vs. Pinot Noir

We all have a favorite wine. Some of us have a favorite white and a favorite red. By special request from a dear friend, I am going to quiz you on two very poplar varieties (her favorites): Chardonnay vs. Pinot Noir. I want to know which variety of wine you think has more calories.

I got this right! I am not suer why, but I have always felt white wine has more calries than red...i think it is because of the sweet tasting green grapes?

Really...only three calories difference? I was still wrong, though. grr.

I was correct! I figured that because most white wines are sweeter than reds, Chardonnay probably has more calories. However, they're only 3 calories apart, which isn't really a difference as far as I'm concerned. I'm definitely a red wine person myself. I can enjoy a white, but I'd never opt to buy one at the store.

what's the standard error for determining calories? Is three calories really significant?

Either way, wines are a much better choice (nutrition wise) when it comes to alcoholic beverages.
