I wonder how many permanent scars these chocolate companies have put on kids with this lie about chocolate? I'm just asking

Sense chocolate makes some people breakout over night as if they came down with the measles, then I guess that chocolate makes people breakout. dah Apparently this website is a propaganda tool, nothing more :-) In 1969 the American Chocolate Association did a study. One group of pimple faced teens ate chocolate bars and another group ate candy bar identical to the chocolate bars with the normal sugar and 55% cocoa butter. Both groups got more oil on their faces, but the pimples within both groups remained almost exactly identicle. This test has been used for the last 40 years to prove that chocolate doesn't cause pimples. It's a deception by this association. When anyone eats a delicious chocolate bar they eat a bar that has chocolate, sugar, and cocoa butter. This is why a chocolate bar causes Acne. No one eats just chocolate without the sugar and the cocoa butter included. Stan

Young people have so many hormones they don't need any help from refined foods like candy bars, french fries, milk shakes. Any thing that is greasy or high in sugar, or even refined white bread will make an unhealthy looking complexion. Vegetables and fruit are not eaten enough in America. Whole grains or rice would be so much better than white bread which is also junk food. It would be hard to find 1 pimple in 5000 teens in these countries that don't have the junk foods. You have to decide what you want to be, Acne free or a junk food addict? And yes, milk is the worst food for causing Acne. It has loads of grease for one thing and the bovine growth hormone (BGH). This hormone they give cows makes them produce 50,000 pounds of milk in a year instead of the normal 2000 pounds per year. The utters of cows are constantly having infections and sores on them. You get the hormone when you drink milk. Eat the green leafy veggies instead like fresh spinach from the produce section, or Turnip Greens. With good nutrition you will become a different person. Get away from the refined foods. In world war II in Denmark they decided to stop refining flour. When they did this the people started living longer, and all kinds of diseases hit an all time low. Actually chocolate causes pimples because of the 55% cocoa butter and the huge amount of sugar in chocolate bars. The chocolate itself doesn't actually cause pimples, but does anyone like chocolate without the sugar and cocoa butter. It would be very bitter. Chocolate always comes with all the butter and sugar. My son, Jeff looked like he had the measles one morning. He had never had a breakout like that before. After some investigaion I learned that Jeff had been eating 5 Hershey nuggets everyday. When Jeff stopped eating the chocolate the pimples went away. On a TV show I watched several years ago a beauty contestant way broken out with what looked to be the measles. Someone spoke up and said, no no she just pigged out on chocolate last night. Stan

The only thing that causes acne is a bacteria in the pore and oil production within that same pore. Alas....I'll be on Retin-A forever! But my skin is like a porcelain doll.

I have noticed it is now hormone related for me. I am 36 years old and have acne like a 14 year old. :( I really need to get back on the birth control pill [I have been off them for some 4-5 years now.]

Some people cling to ignorance. It doesn't cause acne. For anyone. It's probably your whitening toothpaste and shampoos with sodium laurel sulfate.

I knew this wasn't true. But I DO believe that different foods affect people differently and could possibly make some people break out. Not necessarily chocolate persay, just food in general.

If chocolate caused acne I'd be one giant zit. Bacteria and oil clogging your pores causes acne right? I never had acne.
