Quinoa is like the dark horse of the grain family. Not many people know about it, but it becomes a staple in their diet once they do. It's stacked high with fiber and protein, has a nice crunchy texture, and, best of all, it's so easy to make — you simply boil it in water like rice. Its mild flavor takes on any spices and seasonings added to it.
