Do You Eat Breakfast?

An interesting study by the International Food Information Council has found that 87 percent of people surveyed believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, however, only 49 percent actually eat it regularly. This got me to thinking about you guys since I am always talking about how important breakfast is, especially when it comes to weight loss so I know you know about its importance. However, do you actually eat breakfast daily?

I crave for breakfast once I wake up in the morning. I know that I can live without eating it in the morning; because I've tried. Unfortunately, I can't help it in the long run.

i should. i know i should. but when i wake up im completely nauseous! i cant eat until around noon when i have a sort of brunch.

I wake up so hungry I *HAVE* to eat breakfast every day, it really is lunch and dinner I tend to skip since I get so busy at work but on weekends I tend to eat breakfast and lunch. I can't eat dinner at ALL because I have acid reflux disease and I can't sleep if I eat dinner. It's so weird with my boyfriend because he doesn't eat breakfast ever (he says it bothers his stomach) but on the weekends we at least have lunch together and make a huge deal about it :)

I can't eat at 5 in the morning. I drink a tea and go to work. i had the time. But i just can't eat. I usually eat my first something around 2 in the afternoon. Something like a cookie. I eat my first real meal in the evening. Thats the time i can eat something. But breakfest? Can't do it.

I feel sick if I don't eat breakfast so I never ever skip it. I usually eat Kashi Go Lean and it fills me up til lunch.

I just feel like I never have enough time to sit down and eat a real meal. Bolthouse Farms makes these Protein Plus Lattes and they are the best thing I've found for curbing hunger on the way to work..

my stomach growling will NOT ever let me skip breakfast. i don't know how people do it! my roommate drinks a starbucks frappucino in the morning and that's all she has til lunch - i'd die! (and don't get me started on how bad that is for her, all that sugar and caffine and no substance. empty calories. aah!)

I am a firm believer in breakfast for weight loss/maintanence. People sometimes ask me what I do to stay thin. I always reply that I never skip breakfast. I notice that some of the comments above mention that when people eat breakfast that they feel hungrier at lunch, and when they don't eat breakfast they don't get as hungry and lose weight. Well, that's a short term perk. Overall, you're slowing your metabolism and eventually it will catch up with you. If you eat breakfast and you are staving by midmorning or lunch, you're eating the wrong thing for breakfast. Back when I use to have cereal or bagels for breakfast, Id be hungry an hour or two later. Now, I almost always have eggbeaters with some veggies (spinach or red pepper or something) and turkey bacon.

I have egg whites just about every morning. And days that I run out of my apt without having time to make anything, I usually have some instant oatmeal (the lower sugar kind) at the office.

Always. Breakfast is so important. I usually have Shredded Wheat or Kashi GoLean with some berries on top. Once a week I'll eat some scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast.

I totally didn't believe it when people said you would lose weight by eating breakfast but then I started and it TOTALLY worked. I am not as hungry at lunch and I end up eating less calories total than if I would have missed breakfast. Also a little snack in the afternoon works wonders for limiting your dinner intake (a handful of raisins, a banana or some peanuts).

I'm SO bad about breakfast.. I hardly ever eat it. It's hard to get myself to go to bed early enough to wake up early enough to have time to eat! Usually I barely get myself out the door. I'm so not a morning person.

I try. I don't eat before I go to the gym because I can't eat too early and it upsets my stomach. So I try to eat after the gym, with toast and jam or a bowl of corn flakes. But usually I forget cuz I'm running back out the door for work. I have tea when I get to work tho. Does that count?

I eat breakfast everyday, but I am not a believer that eating breakfast helps with weight loss. I went through a summer a few years ago where I was working very early hours and skipped breakfast, and lost more weight without trying then I have since, with working out, watching what I eat, and eating breakfast. I just overall ate a lot less when I skipped breakfast, because I didn't feel hungry around lunch either, so I ate a smaller lunch as well, and my dinners weren't big, either. When I eat breakfast, I am starving by lunch, and ravishing by dinner. Come to think of it... I should stop eating breakfast again!

I have to eat something in the morning before I do my exercises or else I get weak. I just eat a weight waters yogurt and a banana. It keeps me going until lunch.

I don't know. When is breakfast? If it were just the first of three meals of the day, lunch would count if you ate another meal after dinner. Is there a deadline for breakfast? An hour after you wake up; two? Technically "break-fast" is breaking the sleep-induced fast during the night, so whenever you eat first after sleeping would be breakfast then, right? Or do you have to eat as soon as you wake up? Anyway, I do eat breakfast. :)

If I am running late (which is almost always) I make sure to have packages of instant grits or oatmeal that I eat at my desk once I get to work. On the weekends, it depends on what time I wake up hehe

Everyday! Not eating breakfast is the surest way to weight gain since it'll cause you to eat more at lunch and dinner.

Every morning I have a bowl of Kashi Go-lean crunch with light soy milk and a cup of coffee with agave nectar and coconut milk. I'm not hungry in the morning but if I don't eat I get really hungry (and cranky) about and hour after I get to work.

i would literally die or kill somebody is i didn't have my breakfast. it's the most important meal of my day, and i can go without other ones if i was put in a situation that requered that, but I NEED my breakfast.
