Do You Eat Sugar Every Day?

My house has been full of sweet homemade baked goods that are so very hard to resist. After a couple of days in a row of eating something sweet, my body starts to crave it, to practically demand it. So, I am going through a bit of a sugar detox which got me wondering about you all and your relationship to cookies, cakes and candy.

Tell me . . .

Minimally I definetly get sugar from my fructose in fruits. Apart from that I do take some sugar which is prepacked into cereal. I don't have a very sweet tooth I'm more of a carb/salt person.

I constantly get sugar cravings after a meal and at night. I try my best to satisfy the craving with a piece of hard candy or a piece of fruit, but sometimes I give in and eat chocolate. I just try to keep my portions under control.

Admittedly, I'm eating a piece of chocolate as I type this...

sweets are my weakness. I wish that I could control my need for sugar but I can't so it's everyday treats for me.

I don't really like sugary stuff. I'm addicted to salty foods though lol. I like cake but that's about it. I've never been a big cookie fan or a chocoholic, even when I was a child. I'm not big on candy either, I might have candy once a month or even less frequently.

I used to. Usually it was some sweet cookie or cake slice or two, a la mode. But I'm trying to cut down and enjoy life through senses besides taste...

Sweets are not my downfall...but chips and cheese totally are!

you can't NOT have sugar. basically everything has sugar in it. my dad has diabetes and even he has minimal amounts of sugar. if you eat fruit-fructose=sugar. soo much sugar that you can find naturally. the problem is most people eat unnatural sugars. even then, what's wrong with a little sugar.

Yea I eat it everyday. My co-workers and I decided to go on "Sugar Busters" where we cut off sugar from out diet gradually (fruits are allowed). I did this over the summer and I did lose pounds. So Im on it again!

I have a couple of bites of something sweet after lunch and dinner everyday. If I allow myself to eat a little bit, I feel good, and I don't crave it as much. Everything in moderation!

I'm with pretty much everyone else, how can you truly avoid sugar? Weird question!!!

I eat the sweet stuff morning, noon and night. Good thing I was a Nutritional Sciences major, huh?

I really try not to. I don't eat biscuits or cakes or sweets to myself. I always share them with my boyfriend. I'll have like a bite and then I'm done!

Sigh. I love cookies and candy. I don't keep such things in my home but over the holidays ... you know the rest. Still I tried to add 10-15 minutes more cardio and I strived to maintain my weekly exercise routine. Sometimes, it's about treading water. Now I'm ready to focus on what I'm putting into my mouth and I want to take those extra pounds off. It took some time to put it on, it will take patience and dedication to take it off.

I have read the most horrible things about sugar...that has led me to start the no sugar, no flour diet. You just cut out all sugar...fruits and veggies are ok, but you cut out refined white sugar...which is horrible for your body because it's all empty calories. I'll let everyone know how it goes!

I have a HUGE sweettooth. I used to have some sweets everyday. I've stopped since Dec 1st (except for the holidays) because I want to lose some weight, but it hasn't helped much. :/

I didn't used to, but the month of December kind of changed that. I was making cookies almost every day! I'm looking to get back to less sugar in the coming months. Right now I crave it as soon as I finish dinner.

I'm ridiculously addicted, and I think I've finally burned out and hit the wall - and I've given sugar (at least masses of bad sugar) up for the new year. No more candy, no more random deliciousness in the breakroom at work, nothing with corn syrup in the house - essentially just getting down to whole grains and veggies and meats... the more premade things are the more likely they're full of bad stuff!

100 calorie snack packs and fiber one bars. My cereal, kashi go lean, also has some sugar

After the last 6 weeks I am certain "they" are right when they say sugar is addicting. There were sugar treats next to my office throughout the holidays that I munched on. When I tried to go cold turkey all I could think about is where I could get another sugar fix. I normally dont crave sugar either. Now that i managed to be sugar-free for 3 days, the obsessive cravings are starting to die down.
