Do You Nap Regularly?

I was never much into napping, because I usually sleep enough at night. That is until I became pregnant. Now I can't help lying down for 20 minutes in the afternoon a couple times a week. If even you're not preggers, there are a couple of reasons to take a siesta: napping in the afternoon can improve your memory and snoozing three times a week has been found to be good for your ticker.

I'm a napper. Without the help of pharmaceuticals, my natural sleep schedule very much resembles a cat's: Take a nap or two during the day, and stay up all night.

I LOVE naps! But if I take one during the week, I can't get to bed on time & then I'm tired all the next day. So I have weaned myself off of weekday naps.

I never used to nap when I was younger but now I do every once in awhile (only on the weekends) if I feel like it. I always avoided it because I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. But now if I nap during the day I can still sleep fairly soundly at night. Old age is settling in! ;)

I don't usually nap unless I'm unwell or had very few hours of sleep.

I rarely nap. Even when I'm exhausted in the middle of the day, it takes me way too long to fall asleep, then I can't wake up for hours, and then I'm groggy and cranky for the rest of the day.

I can't nap. Once I'm awake, I'm up for the day. Sometimes if I've only gotten 5-6 hours of sleep the night before, I'll take a catnap in the afternoon after work, but I always feel like I'm wasting part of the day if I sleep during it.

Yes. Probably at least 4 times a week for an hour or two and still sleep 6-7 hours a night. I go to sleep easily and sleep soundly. When I was pregnant I usually slept 12-14 hours a day.

I hate napping, actually I kinda hate sleeping in general because it waste so much time (I'm in college and there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done!). Now the rest of my family (not just my immediate family) crave naps! Guess I'm the oddball out!

It used to be that I could take a 15-30 minute nap and it would push me through the rest of the day - when I worked at Macy's in the dress department, I was often working alone or with one other associate verses dozens and dozens of girls. We were often understaffed and overworked. As a result, I started packing lunches (healthier anyway) and would take short nap on the couch in the break room. I'd then scarf down my lunch and get back on the floor. Even on days when I was out late the night before and lunch meant a Power Bar and chips, the nap would push me through at least the rest of the work day and whatever else I needed to get done afterwards. :) Now, sadly, when I take a nap it usually isn't short. Unless I fall asleep while the hubby is driving us home from work, I tend to be out for at least an hour and can be very hard to wake up. :(

My boyfriend naps almost every day. He wakes up really early, needs his nap, the goes to bed around 10. My schedule is opposite!

I rarely take naps, unless I absolutely can't stay awake. I don't like to waste my day napping. Even if I only get 3 hours of sleep the night before, I try to stay awake all day.

i love a good nap! i find in countries where siestas are commonplace, people also tend to lead more balanced lifestyles. i always wake up feeling stiff or uncomfortable if i sleep more than 6hrs period and so i prefer fit in a 1hr nap after lunch. i drink 1 coffee max a day, workout daily and just follow my natural sleep cycle

I only sleep at night. Coincidentally, I am also the one person among my nap-loving friends who never has trouble falling asleep at night and always wakes up well rested and never has a need for caffeine. Or do I see a pattern here?

If I am exhausted, then maybe yes I would nap, but I'm not, by nature, a napper. Unlike my sister who could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. lol.

I wish I could handle a brief nap however once I go to sleep, I am out for at least 2-3 hours. If I set an alarm, I usually end-up shutting it off and drifting back into dreamland. When I do manage to wakeup after 20-40 minutes, I feel closer to a zombie state than I did prior to napping. So: naps + I = troublesome combo.

I would like to be able to nap everyday, but my schedule doesn't allow for it. If only napping on the job was acceptable!

Oh, I love a good siesta! I used to take a few afternoon naps a week in college and also when I worked early mornings at a coffee shop. I can't really do it now because I work a 9-to-5 and taking a late nap will keep me up at night, but I don't really need to since I usually get enough sleep at night.

No, after quitting caffeine, I have waaaaay too much energy to fall asleep during the day! The only exception is after long runs on the weekend when I'm training for a marathon.

Not sure, but I think this is considered unacceptable in the workplace. ;) I was a big fan in college, though. Especially if I had 6am swim practice that morning.
