Do you take nutritional supplements daily?

I was talking to a massage therapist recently and she believes all women should be taking a multi-vitamin, probiotics and fish oil supplements daily. How about you?

i take a multivitamin with my heart meds. i was told that i should take some magnesium and other heart healthy vitamins because of my arrythmias, but they are HUGE so i went witha daily multivitamin and am trying to eat more veggies. it's all about preventing an unneccessary defibrillator shock due to deficiencies and stress.

I take a womens multi-vitamin (I find regular ones make me hungry all the time), probiotics, omega-3, and supplements (greentea, cranberry and garlic). I know it sounds like alot but I got used to taking it and I feel alot better, plus it makes me drink more water...another bonus!

I have a box of Olay prepackaged beauty vitamins which is essentially a multi-vitamin and 5 other's (I don't remember which kind) it is designed to promote healthier skin, hair, and nails. I love the prepackaged kind because I just toss a few packs in my purse and not think about it!

I take a womens one a day multivitamin. it's a big horsepill. I take it right before bed because it tends to make me a little green in the face for some reason.

I don't believe in those things at all. Either, you eat healthy and get all vitamines and whatever your body needs in a natural way, or you don't get it at all. *shrug*

I don't take any of them, because I absolutely adore food. Why would I take an omega 3 when I could have some broiled salmon with a grapefruit relish, or why take iron when I can have some wilted spinach with garlic and pecans? I prefer to eat healthily because I can have more fun when I cook. I'm always coming up with ways to make foods healthy but tasty. Like when I make a risotto, I omit the heavy cream and stick of butter, and use some olive oil to brown the rice and cottage cheese to make it creamy and cheesy. Add some sun dried tomatos and spinach and you have a yummy and healthy risotto.

I don't, mostly because I forget but also because I don't know what kind is a good one for me. There are so many articles about what's actually in them and how your body breaks them down, so I don't know which to buy.

No probiotics unless I'm feeling icky but I take 2 fish oil capsules and a Women's One a Day everynight before I go to bed. I have to take it at night or else they make me nauseous.

I take a multi when I remember, plus a calcium chew. I also take folate, since we'll be ready for a baby within a year and I want to prep my body.

I take 3 gummy bear vitamins, fish oil, and cranberry pills because I'm prone to bladder infections. I used to take vitamin C & echinacea gummy bears because my immune system sucks from no spleen, but then I found out that vitamin C can mess with your birth control. I'd rather have a cold than a baby.

I take a multi and a fish oil capsule. No probiotics unless I'm on antibiotics or have some weird stomach bug. I figure it's better to eat healthy and let my digestive flora sort itself out as it sees fit.

I take a multi and a B-100. I eat clean so I get most of my nutrients through my food; however sometimes I have off days and sometimes I need the extra energy that supplements provide without the extra clories. I also recommend

I agree that our nutrients should come from our food. However, I still take vitamins and fish oil supplements every day. I do this because what if there is one or two days when I don't eat exactly as I should? The supplements are my backup to ensure that I get those vitamins everyday... even when I don't eat as properly as I should. I generally eat very cleanly 6 out of 7 days per week but we all know there are sometimes when we don't do so hot with clean eating.

I take a B-12 supplement every day, only because the research on B-12 is so unclear and it is not completely known whether it is only found in animal products. Since I am vegan, I'd rather just be on the safe side. All my other nutrients I get from food, which is how I think it should be.
