During Exercise, Are You Drenched in Sweat?

When I exercise, I expect to sweat. It's all part of the reason I love to move. Sweating makes me feel like I've worked hard and am cleansing myself. My workouts are tough, so I usually end up sweating a lot, especially if the temperature is hot. Afterwards, my clothes are usually pretty saturated. I've seen people though who can ring out their shirts from all their sweat, and I've seen people whose skin is barely glistening. So where do you fall when it comes to exercise and sweat?

I sweat so much... I kind of like it if I'm in the privacy of my own home because it means that I pushed myself, but in public it's kind of embarrassing...

I LOVE sweating when I workout, it really helps me focus and feel like Im working hard. I once took a picture of my shirt after my workout, because I was so proud!

Yup I sweat a lot - it drips off my chin and my elbows! Don't really mind but it's annoying that if I'm in the gym I have to keep wiping the machines down whilst using them because I'm sweating them up!

im EXACTLY like mem952...the sweating is not a problem or an issue but i hate turning bright red in the face and it takes ages for it to go away!

I sweat like a 200 lbs construction worker on a hard day of work. It's gross - my hair is soaking wet, my clothes are soaking wet, my face is bright red and the sweat is pouring from me in streams. I take two towels to the gym just to cope with it. I hate it, but it won't stop me from giving 100%. I ain't there to win a beauty competition, I'm there to sweat :)

I never used to sweat, even if it were 100+ outside. Then I started Bikram yoga where I sweat profusely. Now, when I do my gym workouts, I sweat 5 times more than I used to. I love it!

oh by the way.. i just thought of this.. i'm from california, so the heat here is dry. but when i was in cancun, the humidity was so high. but i'll tell you what, the complexion of the locals was so beautiful. their skin was glowing and so clear. i guess when one sweats so much, it flushes out the toxins in the skin. :)

I've never been a sweat-er, I started out in dance and gymnastics and now run, bike, hike and do yoga and still don't really sweat (I'm also anemic and run cold). I'm in decent shape and work hard, I've just never, ever been one to sweat.

It seems like I seem to swear more as I get more in shape. I am now officially to the point where I drip all over the equipment.

in high school i was on drumline, so i'd always have sweat marks on my shirt where my carrier rested. well, years later, i still get belly sweat marks. its like my body adjusted to know where to sweat, and now it can't go back!

I sweat a TON when I work out. My clothes are always soaked when I'm done and I have to mop up lakes of sweat out of the pedals of the elliptical machine (it's kinda gross, actually). But it really feels I'm cleaning my skin from the inside out.

I could be doing the most relaxing yoga and I'll still be dripping. I'm disgusting. I hate it.

When I sweat a lot (which happens with mostly cardio) my face turns red and stays red for a really long time. It makes me almost reluctant to go to the gym between classes, but then I at least feel good.

I sweat A LOT. I used to hate it, but after so many of you said that it makes you feel like you've worked hard, maybe I should start appreciating it a little more :)

My trainer said that if you start sweating quickly into a hard workout, it means your body is in better shape--more quickly and ready to cool you off...
