Do You Always Exercise at the Same Time of Day?

I tend to be a creature of habit in everything, except exercise. While my husband exercises every morning I jump from morning workouts, to lunch workouts, to after work workouts — depending on my schedule for the day. I know a lot of folks like to exercise at the same time each day, but many of us do not have a reliable schedule. What about you? Do you always exercise at the same time of the day?

Monday through Thursday, around 4:30/5 after work. On Saturday and Sunday, it's usually the morning time. Friday, I just go to Disneyland for like 4 or 5 hours.

EVERY MORNING = dedicated to working OUT no MATTER WHAT! Which means, if I have to be somewhere by 8am I will wake up @ 4:30am and work out - tomorrow I have to wake up @ 5:30 to get to work by 9am - yippee... ha ha! Some days I am completely into it and other times not so much!

During the week I work out at the same time every day, but on the weekends I do my workout whenever my husband goes to his weekly auction/estate sale thing. That way, we each do our "thing" and then get to spend the rest of the day hanging out together.

I usually do, but sometimes I do change up the times. My work schedule is not always the same but I try to squeeze in the exercise time everyday.

If I'm not in the gym by 7 AM, I won't go at all, so I force myself to get out of bed every weekday morning.

My body absolutely hates afternoon and evening workouts. I've noticed that I have to work noticeably harder to get the same energy output I'll get from a morning workout. Every once in a while I have to push my usual early morning workout to the evening, but I try really hard not to do that.

I have to work out after work...there's no way I can get up earlier to do it! :) So I rush home, work out, then shower and relax before eating dinner.

I can't workout in the morning unless I can have a nap in the afternoon, so morning workouts are for weekends only. Monday and Wed-Fri I work out right after work, and Tuesdays we have a yoga class at work during our lunch hour. Saturdays are my off days.

during the week i go to the gym during lunch so it's just about the same time every day...and then on the weekends - i work out the same time both sat/sun so i'm rather consistent.

I wish i could wake up every day and exercise - run or do yoga, at 6 am before my kids wake up. But I am not that much of a morning person.

I usually stick to the same time, but that's the only time that I have during the day do work out.

I usually work out around 8 pm. I'd like to run in the morning, but I just can't pry myself about of bed earlier than 6 am. And at 5, my stomach is growling at me... so after making it home, preparing and eating dinner and giving it time to settle... I'm off to the gym.

In my ideal mental world, I get up extra early to avoid the sun, do some yoga sun salutations as stretching, and then run. Good way to start the day. In reality, I hit the snooze button about 5 times in a row, then get guilty, then ponder the dilemma when I finally get up. Some days, I'll just bite my tongue and do it, and it feels great when I do! Others (and more often), I'll think "meh, I can change things up. I'll do it in the evening". And 9/10 times, I won't. You'd think I'd have learnt how I work by now, but noooo.

We go when my boyfriend gets home from work. On the weekends we go around 9ish usually, just whenever we get up and are ready.

I have to do it at different times or else I'd get so bored! Sometimes I feel like going in the morning before I start my day, other times I feel like after a stressful day I need to wind down in the evening by going for a swim or a jog. It all just depends on how I feel and when I have some time to fit it in.

Usually it's the same time: either @ lunch or after work :)

I really think I do and feel best when I get an early morning workout in. But I enjoy working out with my husband and he is not a morning person whatsoever (and even if he was, he's often up late for his job), so sometimes I trade a morning workout for an evening one. Or sometimes I just do two (shorter) workouts.

i try to go every morning before work, and i usually get the time about 90% of the time... if i cant make it, i shoot for later in the day

My life would be much easier if I worked out in the morning, but I just don't have good energy until early afternoon. Sometimes I'll do morning if I know I won't have any other time; otherwise I like to head out around 2 pm.

I stick to my workout better if it's around the same time every day. It becomes routine.

I tried every morning for a while, but got injured, so I couldn't just go for my walk/jog. So I have been swimming on Monday and Friday nights, going to the gym on Wednesday and Thursday mornings and trying to get in a weekend workout where possible! It's a little hectic.

I get mine in at the same time everyday.......while the kids are taking their nap! That's the only time I have to myself to do it! :-P
