Fruit or Veggies: Which Is Harder to Include in Your Diet?

Fruits and veggies are equally important. They're a great source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and protein (well not, much but every little bit helps). They're low in calories, fat, cholesterol, and sodium, and they're perfect to snack on or include with your meals. You're supposed to eat five fruits and veggies a day, so I was wondering . . .

I have a hard time getting enough veggies in my diet, I have to make a big effort. But I have been trying to improve on that.

I agree with what someone said earlier about it being easier to eat veggies in the winter! I make all kinds of soup...chicken and vegetable, chicken tortilla soup, potato soup, vegetable beef soup...they're all full of vegetables. And the good thing is, you can make a lot and freeze them, so you always have a meal ready!

fruit is harder for me to get into my diet because i never liked fruit as a kid but i loved my veggies. now i'm working on trying new fruits but i mostly stick with apples and i'm very picky about them

I love fruits, but its a chore to go buy them so I don't get as much as I should. I eat out and I can easily pick cooked foods with lots of vegetable in them. Strangely those stalls rarely sell fruit too.

I don't have a problem with either one...I LOVE all fruits and veggies.

I love salads, but I don't like to have to prepare them. With me, it's hard to eat straight-up fruit because sometimes it tastes almost too powerful or instense or something! I love to dip apples in peanut butter because that gives protein, which I need as a vegetarian.

Veggies are way easier for me to eat because they just get incorporated into all my meals. Fruit is harder because I need a little protein with it for a snack, otherwise it doesn't fill me up. I try to have some yogurt with berries or peanut butter with an apple.

Fruits are easier for me because I tend to snack on them a lot or have them as dessert. Veggies usually require more effort to prepare in a way I enjoy.

Veggies...they require more preparation. Fruit you can just pop in your mouth.

I've been having a very hard time with vegetables! I like them, thats not the problem. However they go bad so quickly and I have a hard time deciding how to make them. I'm excited about the fall and winter because its much easier for me to make vegetables in pasta sauce, stews, soups, etc. The summer is hard because I have a really weird fixation that I don't like salads I make. Fruit is easy - you just eat it as is and its delicious, or you can blend it and its delicious.

I'm pretty good with both. I might even have a fruit as a part of an actual meal so I don't depend on having it as a snack only.

I try to have a big salad with lots of different veggies at lunch and another 2 servings with dinner. I generally squeeze fruit in as snacks/dessert to round everything out. I love both so it's really easy for me!

eating fruits is sooo much easier i eat apples all of the time now that is fall kiwis and oranges will be a big part of my diet too. like for breakfast and dinner and snacks my most favorite food is every kind of fruits that i can find. but the only veggies that i eat sometimes are cucumber and carrots, onion and tomato salad that's about it.

since i don't eat meat, basically ALL i eat are fruits and veggies so i'm pretty much set with them. i guess i've alawys been more of a healthy eater so i don't know if i've ever needed to work on adding one or the other into my diet.

I love fruit but we just don't buy a lot of it right now so that's the harder of the two. Veggies I'll eat for lunch and dinner no problem.

i've been eating fruit as a snack more often but I cook with veggies in most meals, so I guess I don't have a problem with either.

Neither, of course.

I have a really hard time eating most raw veggies, whereas I absolutely love fruit.

Of course fruit is easiert because veggies have less raw (and therefore fast) options. But I have no problem eating both (in fact, I think they make up the greatest part of my diet), especially when I have more time.
