I did South Beach and made it through the two week no carb part, but once I was allowed to reintroduce carbs I lost it and pigged out. I lost 8 lbs. in two weeks and gained back 10. Oops.

I was going to do the master cleanse to lose some weight before my wedding, but fiance/hubby talked me out of it...probably a good thing.

a handful of girls in my office have started the "master cleanse" diet.... where the only thing you consume for like a week and a half is this funky cayenne pepper lemonade concoction. it sounds interesting, but i have no interest in depriving myself for weeks at a time.

Ok, i bought the book a while back but it is at home so i dont really know the details too well. I just remember that my blood type (o- ) is what the cavemen were, so i have a hard time digesting too many veggies (cause they were like serious carnivores). IBS is common with this blood type and i totally had it.... I didnt really read about the other types though. I thought it was interesting.

Fitnessgirl, you'll have to tell me about that "eating for your blood type" one. I'm interested in it. I tried looking for information online, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Any suggestions on books, websites?

I ate for my blood type... thought it was interesting how it went back to the cavemen.... i like a diet with a lot of histry :)

I am still doing ww, but I am kinda stuck now. I don't loose any weight anymore. actually gaining again. I haven't been to the meeting though. I tolked to friends who also did it or still doing it. It was always hard for me to loose weight. The good thing is I changed my eating habits, I eat much healthier now, but still can't go without coffee everyday. :GIGGLE:

I did the South Beach and loved it! The first 2 weeks were hard, but then they introduce you back to complex carbs and fruits containing less sugar. I learned a lot about Glycemic Index Foods, some shocking, and although I don't follow it completely now, I practice most of what I learned. Haven't touched white bread or pasta ever since.

I actually follow the Body for Life diet, which doesn't exclude carbs but limits your daily intake. Combined with a rigorous 5 day work out and 1 free day of eating whatever you desire, I lost nearly 20 pounds over a 3 month period. I recommend the book to anyone looking for a lifestyle change and a healthy happy you!!
