See the recipe when you
- For the chili:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced green pepper
One bag Morningstar Farm crumbles (meat substitute)
One 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes
One 14.5-ounce can dark red kidney beans, slightly drained
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash hot sauce (Texas Pete's or similar)
- For serving (optional):
- Heat olive oil in a large pot. Saute onion and green pepper until soft. Add remaining ingredients and combine well. Heat until bubbly, then simmer for 30 minutes.
- If desired, serve with tortilla chips, shredded cheese and sour cream.
Makes 4-6 servings.
