Spiced Almond Butter Spread

Ingredients

  1. 1 C almonds
  2. 1/2 tsp cumin
  3. 1/2 tsp chili powder
  4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  5. 1/4 tsp cayenne
  6. 1/4 sea salt

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spread almonds evenly across a baking sheet and toast in oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  3. Place almonds into blender, and blend until it turns into a paste. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  4. Add spices and continue blending until smooth and . . . butter-like.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container.  Lick bowl. Store butter in the refrigerator.
