How to Burn Calories After Eating Treats

How Can You Work Off Your Indulgences?

In a recent poll, many of you said you work out so you can eat more. I can relate to feeling good about satisfying my craving for a fudge-covered brownie if I know I exercised that day. Enjoying treats every once in a while is encouraged, but if you do it a lot, it can lead to weight gain. That's why working out a little extra can allow you to savor your favorite foods while maintaining your weight. Just how long do you need to get moving in order to work off those indulgences? Take this quiz to find out.

(Calculations are based on a 130-pound woman).

I just figure work out harder than you think it will take to burn the calories and you should be set. :-)

hey lizzie008- did you know your body requires bare minimum 1200 cal/day without you doing anything? If you're exercising too, your body needs more energy (calories)

3/7 :P I don't eat anything that I feel I have to "work off" right away though, so I guess I wouldn't know..

I know that if I consume 1500 calories a day that doesn't mean I have to work out and burn 1500 cals. But I'm having a hard time finding a middle between over-eating and starving. It sounds stupid.

Man, I love all of those things...but it's looking like it's not worth it to eat them...

I didn't do so well....but that's because I thought it took longer to work things off. I guess that's nice to know! :)

Some of these questions are tricky! Like the pizza one. You have no idea what kind of pizza, so it's hard to guess how many calories need to be burned! 4/7 .... better be careful about my splurges!
