Only three out of every 100 people in the US donate blood, yet every two seconds someone needs it, according to the American Red Cross [1]. Fewer people are donating blood yearly, and you can help change that by scheduling a donation on World Blood Donor Day (it's June 14). By donating blood, you'll help those battling cancer, accident victims, and patients fighting life-threatening conditions. Find a location, make an appointment [2], and read up on preparing to give blood [3] if it's your first time.
