My Mom told me about this small rattler-shaped purifier that you drop into the tank that helps not only clean out the inside of regular humidifiers, but also keeps everything in your house from getting that white dust on it that sometimes comes from running a humidifier. You can find them at Wal-Mart, so I imagine that you can find them at most drug stores. They are small, blue, and just shaped like a small rattler... Not very expensive either - I think $4 for two.

I love having a humidifier, it makes such a big difference in my skin and I feel like I sleep better too.

My son is the same, Butrfly! I bought a cool mist one at Walmart for $30, made by Sunbeam I think. It's got a wide reservoir on it that I can detach and put in the dishwasher. No brown goo. Cathy (receptionist here) says she rinses hers out with vinegar and water to get rid of the brown goo. And before she puts it away she lets it soak in a half vinegar half water solution. Hmmm. I should try that on the old one I have.

So, any suggestions for humidifiers that we can buy in the US? I realized when I was tucking my girl in the other night that she desperately needs one. I hate hearing her be all raspy when she's trying to sleep. (She's got Daddy's snoring - probably his apnea, too!!)
