Jenna Kutcher, a photographer and podcast host, recently received a message that nagged at one of her deepest insecurities: the unnamed person said they couldn't believe that she had landed someone so attractive as her husband, Drew Kutcher. "I'll be honest that I was taken aback," Jenna wrote in a post detailing the exchange [3] and her subsequent feelings.

Jenna went on to write that her insecurity with her body has somewhat "stemmed around being married to Mr. 6-Pack himself." She added, "Why should I, a curvy girl, get him?" At the end of the post, Jenna resolved that her husband loves her for so much more than her body — in addition to her body. "Yes, my thighs kiss, my arms are big, and my bum is bumpy but there is just more of me for him to love and I chose the man that could handle alllll that."

Now, Jenna is opening up about what inspired her to write the post and tackle her insecurity in such a public way. "We've all dealt with critics, and when comments hit our insecurities deep, our first instinct is to hide," Jenna told POPSUGAR. "I wanted to shed some light on what social media really is doing to us: it's impacting our definition of beauty, [and] it's changing our perception of worth."

"The way we look does not change the way we love."

Admittedly, Jenna says she is lucky not because of how her husband looks, but because of who he is. While gushing about Drew, Jenna said, "He's the most loyal man I've ever met. He affirms me, he recognizes my strength, he respects me, and he's proud of me." She added, "Never have I questioned if he thinks I'm beautiful, and for that, I am the luckiest. My beauty is so much more than skin deep, and the way we look does not change the way we love."

The couple also love working out and staying fit together. Jenna recently got Drew into CrossFit [4] after she had been doing it for five years, and they regularly enjoy doing yoga and running. "We have a super-active lifestyle, and I think one of the most common misconceptions about self-love is complacency," she said. "We are always working on our health and overall well-being."

Ultimately, Jenna hopes that her words will help other women realize their worth beyond the physical. Jenna wants others to know: "You are worthy of being loved just as you are, you are worthy of respect, and you are enough."
