People are beginning to mix up traditional strength training routines, incorporating equipment like the TRX [2] and kettlebells into their workouts to improve functional movement patterns and build muscle [3]. By now, you've probably heard a lot about kettlebells and their many benefits [4]. While they're a great piece of equipment, we do realize that they can be intimidating to use, especially if you're just getting into strength training.
Thankfully, personal trainer and Instagram influencer Kelsey Wells [5] gave us the 411 on how to use kettlebells for a quick, strengthening lower-body workout.
