Nike Sports Bra Ad With Plus-Size Model

See the Nike Sports Bra Ad That Is Causing a Major Stir Among Women

Coinciding with its #Brahaus pop-up shop at Bandier Fit in NYC, Nike Women shared this beautiful photo on its Instagram account this week. Besides offering a spot-on bra-fitting tutorial, the shot features social-media star and model Paloma Elsesser, and after taking a quick look at the comments, it's apparent that she is the reason women are heaping tons of praise on Nike.

Instagram users applauded Nike for featuring a model who shows being healthy comes in all shapes and sizes. Throughout the comments, words like inclusive, relatable, diverse, and body positive were commonly used. "This is awesome! Thank you Nike Women for showing that every woman is beautiful, no matter which size," wrote one user. Even more hopeful were some of the conversations happening on the thread between users and Nike Women.

Many commenters conveyed how refreshing it is to see a woman like themselves on the feed and hoped that Nike Women would continue to tap a wider demographic by expanding its sizing, which currently runs from XS to XL. Nike's answers to multiple requests were hopeful; "We hear you, and we'll be sure to let our team know your thoughts," and "Keep the feedback coming. We're listening," were a few of the brand's responses to queries. While there have been definite strides in the fitness industry to become more inclusive, having a major brand like Nike continue on this path will surely open the door even wider for diversity and body acceptance.
