Review of Food Should Taste Good Cheddar Tortilla Chips

Food Review: Cheddar Tortilla Chips

I recently confessed to you all about my late-night snackfest with Doritos. That cheesy, cheddary goodness just kept me coming back for more. I just found a healthier version to lessen the guilt of munching on chips: Cheddar Tortilla Chips by Food Should Taste Good.

To hear how these chips taste and compare nutritionally to Doritos

I was expecting these Cheddar Tortilla Chips to taste just like Doritos, but they are milder in flavor, which I actually liked. They are still salty, but not overbearingly so, and they don't leave your fingers all orange-colored (another plus). These chips have a somewhat sweet flavor, and the cheddar tastes real (unlike my fake Doritos). I love that you can see whole flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds too. If you check out the chart below, you'll discover that these Cheddar Tortilla Chips are lower in fat and sodium, and also higher in fiber and protein than the Doritos. As if that wasn't convincing enough, just look at the list of ingredients. You won't find partially hydrogenated soybean oil, MSG, and artificial colors listed there. The only bad thing about these chips is that they taste so delish; I had to have my hubby take the bag away from me in order to stop devouring them. Even though they are "health food" chips, they are still chips. However, I'll definitely buy these chips again when I have a craving for something crunchy and cheesy.

I LOVE the FSTG chips. My favorite was Potato & Chive, but they got rid of it. =( Cheddar was actually the only one I've tried that I didn't like. But then I always hated Doritos.

I hope they're good. I just bought these last weekend but I haven't taken the plunge just yet! I love their jalapeno chips, but I haven't been able to find them recently.

I loooooooooooove this brand. And it's true, you can definitely fall into the "they're healthy, so I'll eat 30 of them!" trap. I usually split them into serving size baggies instead of eating straight out of the bag, which helps.
