Review of Kashi GoLean Crisp

Food Review: Kashi GoLean Crisp!

I always have a box of Kashi GoLean cereal in my cupboard, whether it be regular GoLean or GoLean Crunch. These cereals are a great source of fiber and protein, full of wholesome whole grains, and taste great in milk or on their own. If you too are a fan, then you'll be psyched to hear that a new version is hitting shelves now — GoLean Crisp!

Curious to know how it compares nutrition and flavor-wise? Then keep reading.

I must say, when I first opened the package, I was greeted by an overwhelmingly luscious berry scent. I snacked on a bunch before pouring this cereal into my bowl, and my first thought was, "Wow, this is crispy." I loved the texture instantly — the satisfying crunch coupled with the chewiness of the dried cranberries. I was happy to see whole oats in the mix too.

Along with the pleasant aroma, this cereal also has a very distinct sweet berry flavor, which is very different than the other GoLean cereals. How does it compare nutritionally though? Check out the chart below and find out.

This new GoLean Crisp! is very similar nutritionally to the other GoLean varieties. It may not contain as much potassium, but it certainly has an excellent amount of fiber and protein. If you're a fan of Kashi products, I'd definitely pick up a box of this cereal. Are you a fan of Kashi? Tell me below.

I like Kashi, wish I could find more of their products where I live!

I don't eat ANY Kashi products anymore. I used to eat their Go Lean cereal for breakfast, and their TLC snack bars were a regular pre-gym snack. But then I started really paying attention to their ingredients. There are just way too many varieties of sugar in their products.

We love Kashi cereal in my house! We usually have the Heart to Heart, which is excellent & has lots of vitamins. This Go Lean Crisp is my dad's new fave.

this looks delicious, not much of a fan of the others because they tend to take a little like cardboard. However regarding the nutrition information, just because a cup of this is over 200 calories doesn't mean it's bad. The amount of fiber will still help keep you full and the berries would be a nice treat. You would add calories to your regular kashi if you added your own fruit so it would end up being close to the same amount either way.

This is why I always just stick with regular GoLean: none of the other varieties give me as much protein for so few calories.

Sounds delish as a snack or a breakfast.

Hmm...the regular Kashi has more protein and fewer calories, so I think I'll stick with that. If I run across this stuff on sale, I might give it a try.

It could just be me, but while I like the flavor of Kashi stuff, I always feel like it tastes a little stale or something.
