I like Nucoa and Earth Balance margarine over butter if I had to pick, less saturated fat too. Verr - Love your kitty avatar!

The slide show said "if you're watching calories". Olive oil is the best bet overall but butter is a whole food that can be used in moderation and therefore not the devil.

It is so NOT just about calories! How can you advocate butter over olive oil?? The nutrition of the food matters - to simply compare foods on a per calorie basis is just plain ignorant. IMHO :)

I LOVE substituting avocado for mayo, but i also really love mayo :) sometimes those 10 calories are worth the flavor
