Wow, thanks guys! Reading a fitness site, definately keeps me motivated! I'm not QUITE to my goal, but I'm definately going to look much better in that dress :) @brindey - I was doing a LOT more cardio, making sure I was going to get that heart rate up and keep it there, when I would find myself plateauing, I would add in weights to kick start the loss again and keep my body guessing. I'm an ex-athlete, so I have a lot of muscle it's just "burried" so to say.. I am now in the last 6 weeks till my wedding, so I'm not supposed to lose tooo much more, so I'm doing more weight training now. About 40 mins cardio, 20 weights. I'm hoping that I'll tone, and add muscle, but not drop too many inches. Then I'll go back to losing AFTER the honeymoon.

Ella---wow, that's awesome! Congrats! I was only engaged for about 6 months, so I didn't have a long time to get "in shape". I was already doing lots of cardio/running, but I decided to up my strength workouts, especially my upper body ones. I liked the Tae Bo Strength and Power workouts...they did a great job of sculpting my arms and back. I am also a huge fan of pushups and hanging leg will get abs like you won't believe!

Ella, that's amazing! I bet you will be beautiful! I noticed you do a ton of cario- which is awesome. But I read that while doing cario burns 2% more calories while working out, lifting weights creates more muscle- which burns more calories during the day. I am completely guilty of cardio overload, but am trying to fix it- has a ton of workouts for you goals/bodyshape.etc. Fit Sugar- what is best for losing weight? Cardio or weights?

Shoot, I've been working out almost daily since before I got engaged - I have really just been trying to increase the servings of veggies to get fuller off of veggies. I watch my calories, pretty religiously & I work out a lot. I alternate weeks of 100% cardio for six days, with a week of 80% cardio + 20% weights. In the past 9 months I've lost 60 pounds. I'm not quite at my goal, but I don't see myself EVER going back! So maybe I'm not the "typical" bride... but I am def. trying to up my weight workouts (arms 3 days a week, legs 2) and increase the amount of weight I'm lifting to get really defined arms. My arms and shoulders will be the only thing exposed, so I want them to look nice!
