Wide-Legged Forward Bend Twist
Adding a twist to a Wide-Legged Forward Bend allows you to open one shoulder at a time.
- Inhale to rise up from Standing Camel, and exhale as you place your hands on your hips. Take a breath in, and exhale to fold forward. Wrap your left hand around your right ankle, and either raise your right arm into the air above your head, or wrap it around your lower back, clasping your upper left thigh.
- Continue to draw the torso toward your legs as you actively press into your hands to increase the twist.
- After five breaths, release and stand up. Step your feet to the front of your mat, and repeat this sequence on the left side.
