- 1 tbsp almond oil
- 1 small apple, sliced very thin
- 3 fresh basil leaves, sliced
- 1 oz. smoked gouda, chopped into small pieces
- Slice a piece of whole pita in two length-wise and toast until golden brown.
- Rub crust with olive oil and top with apple slices, basil, and gouda. Return to preheated oven about 6-8 minutes to heat through.
