Many are calling David Beckham's decision to move himself, his family and soccer to the United States a very smart, well, move.
However according to a recent, small study, not all soccer players are so smart as college-age soccer players may show some degree of brain-tissue shrinkage. The soccer players in the study had less gray matter, which is the portion of the brain that controls thinking and memory. This could be due in part to the high number of concussions soccer players endure, or just due to the simple act of heading the ball - a common soccer move.
So, although Beckham's noggin appears just fine (and quite attractive, I might add) moral of the story is if you are going to take up soccer for its full body workout, you may want to leave the heading for the pros.
Need to get a further look for yourself to see if you spot any damage on Becks's head? Purely for
enjoyment scientific reasons, of course... Then
