CBD Jelly Beans Have Arrived, Because Really It Was Only a Matter of Time

The inventor of Jelly Belly is getting in on the CBD craze. David Klein created the ubiquitous jelly bean in 1976, and although he sold the trademark shortly thereafter, he's now launching candy infused with relaxing cannabidiol (CBD) under his new business, Spectrum Confections. Flavors will include toasted marshmallow, cinnamon, mango, and piña colada, among many others. (There are reportedly 38 flavors!)

In an interview with Cannabis Aficionado, David said, "The jelly bean is perfect for the proper dosage." He went on to explain that each jelly bean contains 10 ml of CBD. "If people want a small dose, they eat one. If they want 20 ml, they can eat two. They can decide what their proper dosage is." As for his favorite, David said strawberry cheesecake is up there. He added, "Our mango tastes more like mango than mango does."

Though the jelly beans will be a big seller, Spectrum Confections will also offer CBD Sour Cherry Goosebumps, Sweet and Spice and Everything Nice drops, as well as sugar-free jelly beans. The candy is available to order in bulk online; however, the website currently states the inventory has been depleted due to high demand.
