It's Not Over Yet: 2010 Fitness Goals and Resolutions

The new year is fast approaching, but as we head toward 2011, don't forget your old resolutions from 2010. Do you remember the health and fitness goals you shared in the Get Fit For 2010 group last January? How'd they pan out?

We'd love an update no matter your success level. Remember you still have a month to work toward your resolution. But let's be realistic; if your goal was to run a marathon, and you haven't laced up your sneakers in over six months, don't aim for the 26.2 by New Year's Eve. Instead, go for a short run or investigate the walk/run Galloway Method. There is no need to sit December out and wait until January rolls into town to get moving, eat healthier, or quit smoking,

Use the next month to take stock of your current health and fitness status and contemplate what you hope to gain (or lose) in 2011. Don't just set the goal, make a plan too. You can use our Get Fit For 2010 community as your sounding board. The new year is right around the corner, don't let it surprise you.

I agree. The worst thing you can do is sit around and pig out until January first because you can easily gain 10lbs and/or lose your fitness by then. I already have my 2011 goals ready to go, but for them to start I have to stick to my 2010 goals: Be able to run 30 minutes, stick to a balanced diet: 80%good 20% not so good & reduce my sugar consumption... http://fullbodytransformation.wordpress.com/
