As the name sounds, this exercise will help you open your chest and is a great way to warm up the shoulder and upper back muscles. Be sure not to lean your head forward or "turtle neck" when pressing shoulder blades together. Actively push your neck back to strengthen and stretch the front part of your neck while completing this exercise.
- Stand with feet hips width apart. Engage abs, and close the rib cage. Raise arms straight in front with thumbs pointing up and hands activated.
- Press shoulders down and push scapulas together. Release.
- Complete 15 reps, and repeat one more set.
