I put on a bunch of weight, but not when I started dating my man.. it was when I moved in with him. Eating the same things at dinner, going out to eat (and drink) with his buddies, hosting all the holiday parties... But he has gained a few pounds too. He only gains it in his stomach, and could take it off by cutting out sweets and jumping on the bike for a ride every day, but it isn't so easy for me. I'm currently 2/3 of the way back to the weight I was when I met him, but I'm not stopping there, and I plan to use this time to get really in shape and lose a little more. That way I can start our married life out on a good HEALTHY foot. As an added "bonus" result... my counting calories, and exercising has encouraged him to put down the ice cream and candy a bit too. So he won't try the brussel sprouts or pick up an apple for a snack yet... but I want us to have a nice long life together, and these are just the first steps!!!

And the worst is they can take it. Their metabolisms are much different than ours.
