What to Expect From an Aerial Arts Silks Circus Arts Class

What to Expect From an Aerial Arts Silks Class

If swinging on a trapeze is not your thing but you've always wanted to experience a circus workout, try an aerial arts silks class. Although there is climbing involved, it's nothing compared to the heights scaled to fly on a trapeze. Working with the silks is a graceful full-body workout, with an emphasis on the upper body and core — even your fingers will feel worked.

A little over 2 years ago, I tried my first silks class and now I own my own set and have several performances under my belt. At 32, I am in the best shape of my life...and I used to be a personal trainer!! If you're looking for a resource to find studios or other information, http://iFlyAerialArts.com has a great forum!
