When You Put on Weight, Is There an Area of Your Body Where It All Seems to Go?

Maybe you baked a lot over the holidays and are still dealing with the consequences of having so many yummy treats around. Or the lack of physical exercise due to icky weather combined with yummy treats lead to a little weight gain. So, what I am wondering is . . .

The order: thighs, tummy and then everywhere else yet I still have the flatest butt I know. Argh.

It all goes straight to my boobs! My boyfriend keeps trying to feed me pancakes every morning for some reason...

when/if i gain - it goes all over - not just to one place in particular i don't think. i would assume my stomach first and then my hips/butt/thighs

the shape of my tummy is my gauge for how I'm doing. Once it gets a little rounder, I know it's time to get back on track.

Im pear shaped so everything goes to the hips, thighs and butt. However if you are going to put on weight that is the healthier place to put it.

I'm a pear too, so my lower lumbar region gets a lot of winter padding after the holidays.

Thighs. I tell my husband I still have my hourglass figure, it's just that the sand is settling at the bottom. :)

The ab/tummy area; it awful how quickly that area can bloat and gain weight.

My friends all say my boobs and my butt, but I see it more in my hips than anything.

Tummy AND thighs...I wish I gained in my boobs but they've stayed the same since I was 14...I was an "early bloomer" but it ended as quickly as it started. Boo!

Boobs, then butt. I stay pretty lean around my midsection, but above and below is a mess.

I am a total pear! I gain weight in my thighs and calves (booo!) first. But why I lose weight, it leaves my tummy first, and that's the part of my body I like best anyhow. Oy.

:ROTFL: @ Muffin Top! I had never heard that before...but seriously, how appropriate!!! tummy gets all the weight. The rest of my body looks great, but when i gain, my tummy is the first to bloat. :( Muffin top is so unsexy...and probably my biggest pet peeve. Its the one thing that really makes women look heavy. When they wear jeans too tight around their middle and everything is bloating out over the waistband. Blech! I have found that stretching my tummy out, really concentrating on feeling those muscles pull and stretch helps IMMENSELY to tighten my trouble area. Crunches too...of course. :D

I tend not to gain a lot of weight but when I do, even a pound or two, it goes to the tummy and my face!

I managed to gain a lot during autumn which was a surprise as I've never previously been someone whose diet affects their weight. So now I've started exercising and eating right to lose it! The thing that actually made me notice was my upper arms! They started to feel bigger and all sleeves felt tighter. When I decided to not be in denial, I realised upper thighs + stomach were also bigger. But hey, it was bound to happen soon enough considering I'm such a sugar addict! I'm feeling excited about being toned for the first time in my life though :)
