Which Snow Sport Are You Most Excited for?

There are skiers.
There are snowboarders.
And then, there are those of us that just like to sit in the lodge by a fire with a nice book and a cup of cocoa.

I personally like all three, but I know you guys have a preference for one over the other, so what about you?

Keeping your hands in a fist can help as well but wrist guards are better, especially on your supporting side (the side that you're more likely to land on reflexively when you try to catch yourself). And if you don't already have gloves, get the gauntlet type of whatever you buy so they fit over the guards. Sometimes it's easier to get shells so you can really customize (Outdoor Research makes good ones) and then put whatever sort of liners you like inside them.

skiing all the way! i can't wait to hit the slopes once finals are over.
I live in Texas. The only winter sports we get to engage in is the occasional, icy road drive. If we get snow, it's gone by 3 pm the same day!

Snowboarding has a much faster learing curve (the first few days are miserable but you'll see progress rapidly). Knee injuries are less common than with skiing, just take care to protect your wrists (use rollerblade or snowboarding specific wristguards) and wear a helmet.

I love it all! I'm very prissy but I'm super into skiing & snowboarding.. and I absolutly love sipping hot cocoa. I suggest Utah for great snow. I went last year and it was amazing! FYI: anyone new to winter sports.. I've found that skiing is a lot easier on your body. Enjoy!

I love all three, but I would rather snowboard. I love sitting by the fire, drinking cocoa, snuggling and watching a move after the snowboarding.

Snowboarding! I love, love, love boarding and I"m very fortunate to be where I am in the Northeast. I can get to many great resorts within an hour. I also sucked it up and bought a season pass at one of my favorite places- Mt. Snow this year. So I'll be living on the slopes!

I haven't seen snow in years, but I moved to the mountains this summer. Everyone's warning me that I'll hate the snow, but I can't wait until it gets cold.

hmmm...nope no snow here in texas. I've seen snow ONCE in my life, and that was last winter when it snowed here in Austin. depressing. Maybe I should go to colorado this winter!

SNOWMOBILING!!! If you ride like I do it sure is a work out! :) I also like to go extreme sledding.. Extreme skiing and snowboarding is fun too. That involves getting pulled behind a truck on the roads here... ALWAYS wear a helmet. See, up here, no one's really around, so we can do that.. That is, until the cops decide to go out and roam around.
