I am so excited that Spring is finally here! I've been riding my bike, going rock climbing, and hitting the pavement for outdoor runs. Somehow I think 30 minutes of hiking a moderate to difficult trail would outpace 30 minutes of roller skating.

runningesq - although sometimes I find some articles contentious, personally I think these kinds of quizzes and articles are OK. It makes you think twice about energy expenditure doing certain activities, and don't forget some people do come here specifically looking for tips to lose weight and burn calories. And if it makes anyone feel even a smidge happier to get down and dirty amidst the weeds, I'm all for it!

You can't really say that a 130 lb woman burns X amount of calories while running for 30 minutes because it depends on what pace they're running.

Lately it seems that FitSugar has been focusing solely on calories -- eaten and burned. There are other indicators of healthy foods and healthy activities.
