YOGA CHALLENGE VIDEO: Double Arm Headstand

Have you tried the latest YOGA CHALLENGE? The pose is a Double Arm Headstand, and since this is a pretty difficult pose (this is a challenge isn't it?), I thought seeing a video would help you figure out how to get both in and out of the pose.

If that's too challenging, you can try Double Arm Headstand in front of a wall - using the wall for balance and support. To see the video,

  • Place your arms on the mat about 8 or so inches from the wall. Then place your head in front of your arms so your forehead is touching the arm that's closest to the wall.
  • Walk your feet up as close as you can towards your arms and then kick your feet up and place them on the wall.
  • You can lean all your weight against the wall, and then work on bringing one foot off and then the other, so you're balancing on the top of your head and your arms.

If you lose your balance, it's okay because the wall is there to catch you. After you practice this pose for a while, pretty soon you won't be needing the wall at all!

Don't forget to take a picture of yourself doing this pose and post it in the YOGA CHALLENGE group. I'll choose my favorite and post it here on FitSugar.

Using the wall is really helpful!

That's awesome! I'd probably come crashing down if I tried to do it without the wall! :ROTFL:
